Dr. Amitava Chaudhuri has worked for the United Nations, the World Bank, The Commonwealth Secretariat, and national governments for about 40 years. His journey has taken him to approximately 70 countries, where he lived for extended periods in southern, central, and east Africa, the Caribbean, South and Central Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Graduating in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, he received his Master's degree in business management from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK. His doctorate in e-commerce applications is from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. Now at 74, he divides his time between New Delhi, Kolkata, and Gurgaon.
